Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

What does popping or rumbling in the water heater mean?

Sediment on the bottom of the tank, with water flashing to steam underneath it. It makes the heater work harder and shortens the tank's life. Flushing helps early on, though a tank that has been left alone for years often doesn't respond much.

Where does my responsibility for the water line start?

At the meter. Everything downstream of it belongs to the property, including the buried service line to the house. If the meter is spinning with every fixture closed, the leak is on your side of it.

Why does the toilet run for a minute on its own overnight?

A flapper that no longer seals lets the tank bleed down until the fill valve kicks on, which is what you're hearing. It wastes a surprising amount of water over a month. High house pressure makes flappers fail sooner, so it's worth checking both.

Do older homes here have polybutylene piping?

Some houses built in the late seventies through the mid nineties do, and it's usually gray or blue plastic with crimped fittings. The failures come at the fittings more than in the pipe. If that's what you have, a pro can tell you whether the system is worth replacing before it decides for you.
